There are many reasons why someone has (voluntarily) taken a longer break from driving. For some, it was an accident that triggered a very strong fear of driving, for others, life circumstances were simply such that a vehicle was not needed. There are also cases in which the know-it-all nagging of a partner has simply taken the joy out of driving.
For whatever reason, anyone who has not been behind the wheel for a long time sometimes has to deal with a lot of uncertainty. This is completely normal. Sometimes driving is even accompanied by such strong fears that help should be sought in order to regain more self-confidence. At our driving school in Munich Giesing, it is very easy and uncomplicated to eliminate these insecurities with a refresher course.
You have these options
One advantage of a refresher course at a driving school is that you can freely determine the content of the course. For example, if you have forgotten important traffic rules or would like to repeat the meaning of traffic signs, you can register for theory lessons with us.
Once you have the theoretical knowledge, you can also start practical driving lessons straight away. The prerequisite for our support is that you speak openly about your uncertainties. This is the only way we can practice with you specifically and efficiently in areas that cause you concern. Whether it’s freeway driving, parking, reversing or driving a vehicle in general – we focus on what is important to you.

Frequently asked questions about the refresher course
No, by no means! Your participation is completely voluntary and there is no need or requirement to inform the road traffic authorities.
A test is not planned or prescribed. You already have a driving license - so a test would serve no purpose.
We charge a one-off registration fee of €99 at
. This also includes your learning materials. In addition, there are costs for the driving lessons you take with us. You decide how many these are. We charge €85 for a 45-minute driving lesson. If you would like to have it in English, then it's €95 / 45 minutes.
Whether you need a refresher course at a driving school is a completely subjective decision. If you have inhibitions (due to fear or insecurity) about driving a vehicle on the road, you should consider this option. This can be useful after a long break from driving or an accident, for example.
In an initial consultation, you tell us exactly what your problems are. We will then work out a targeted training plan together, which will include your individual driving exercises. You decide the content of your refresher course!
There is no general answer to this question. Former frequent drivers get behind the wheel after 10 years and immediately feel safe. Some feel insecure after just 1 year. You are the best person to answer this question.
